At the young sallion show which was held in Söðulsholt 2009, Ábóti placed first in category for one years old and ended 2nd over all. He is highstepping and moves around using tölt and trot. He has, like many offsprings of Álfur, a very supple and flexible body. He is also light build, and have a finely shaped and long neck, absolutely a dream colt.
