Horse Centre Söðulsholt
Söðulsholt is located on the southside of Snæfellsnes, approximately 50 km from Borgarnes. The construction of the stables and the riding hall began in the summer of 2006 and ended in January of 2007 with the official grand opening festival on January 20. The stables can accommodate 36 horses, 2 horses per stall with each stall measuring approximately 9 square metres.
The stables and facilities are impressive. The furnishings, provided by „Króm og Stál, are very elegant.
The feeding aisle floor and the sidewalk surrounding the stables are heated. The stables connect to a large and magnificent riding hall, measuring 50 x 16 metres, which also contains a small tack room and feed storage area. The coffee/tea room is located above the tack room and feed storage area.
Outside there are 4 adjoining paddocks next to the stables, of which 2 paddocks are very large and the other 2 are slightly smaller. Thus, it is easy to separate and sort the horses.

The riding trails are very good in this area and the Löngufjörur („long beaches“), for example, are only a 20 minute ride away. The riding trail along the river Núpá is also excellent, with connecting trails to and between the farms located by the river.
In other words, the riding trail network in the area is such that it is not necessary to access, cross or use the national highway.
